Splash! RV Resort & Waterpark is slated to open December 15, 2021, in North Florida. Construction began on the project in August 2020, with Whitworth Builders Realty, Inc. serving as the general contractor. The 60-acre site has a dog park, lazy river, cottage rentals, and an adult swimming pool.
It also features 350 RV spots, which start at $79 a night, according to the park’s website. Visitors can also stay in one of eight covered wagons that come with queen-sized beds, air conditioning, and other amenities. It’s part of phenomenon called “glamping,” which is “glamor camping.” Rates start at $179 a night.

There’s also 80 cottages, which start at $219 a night, with a two-night minimum. Around major holidays, there’s a three-night minimum. Some cottages allow pets with an additional $50 cleaning fee.
The Pensacola Business News Journal reports that the project cost $20 million to build. It also notes that the park signals growth, as this will draw more “snowbirds” to the region. Splash RV Resort, LLC owns the venture. It’s owner, Craig Kruse, owns another park in Walton County.
Visitors can also stay in on-site cabins.
