Ceiba Group, a Fort Lauderdale-based development group, broke ground on ID Oakland Park in the first week of December 2021. The South Florida Business Journal reports that the newly acquired $31 million construction loan will build over 100 rental townhouses.
Ceiba Group acquired the multi-acre site for $3.13 million in 2016. Sources report that the community is on the largest available parcel of land in the city. It’s near the highly-rated Pine Crest School and east of I-95.
Ceiba Group’s website reports that the units are fairly spacious. Units range from around 1,400 to 1,500 square feet each. The units are divided among multiple low-rise buildings. Many come with car ports, although the 6.6-acre site features around 250 parking spots. The community itself requires more than 180,000 square feet of new construction, with Ceiba Group operating as the owner and general contractor.
Amenities include a fitness center, clubhouse, playground, and dog park. The Construction Journal reports that Diaz + Lang Architects designed the complex. Design Studio Boca (DS Boca) is the landscape architect, and Pillar Consultants, Inc. is the civil engineer.
Conceptual renderings show covered driveways, two-story townhomes, a communal rooftop lounge, and a hot tub. ID Oakland Park’s address is 1000-1140 N.E. 58th St., Oakland Park, FL, 33334, in Broward County.
