Art Deco-Inspired Hotel Coming to 117 Vilano Road, St. Augustine, FL, 32084

In January 2019, the Ponte Vedra Reporter noted that construction had started on a mid-rise, art deco-inspired Hyatt Hotel in St. Augustine, FL. Nearly three years later, developers hope to commence operations in mid-2022.  The project’s expected to cost about $24 million and requires more than 175,000 square feet of new construction. The Collage Companies oversees construction. The three-story hotel will offer 120 guest rooms and 164 parking spots.

The project costs $24 million to complete.

Amenities include 3,000 square feet of “pre-function space” and 7,200 square feet of meeting space. The hotel offers an independent on-site restaurant and rooftop bar. The second floor also features a swimming pool. Architectural Design & Associates, Inc. designed the venture. The Ormond Beach-based organization currently have five active enterprises, mostly in the commercial private sectors. It shared conceptual renderings of the venture online.

As noted, the hotel features an upgraded art deco design, sporting a neutral-colored facade and covered entryway. Other architectural features include a curved, rectangular outline and faint, geometric finishes. Sitaraz LLC is the project’s owner. Other involved parties on the venture include Michael Rourke and Associates Inc (the civil engineer), RTM Engineering Consultants – Florida (the MEP engineer), and Haddad Engineering, Inc. (the structural engineer).
