DR Horton Hopes To Move Forward with 50-Home Community in Palm Springs, FL

DR Horton hopes to move forward with a residential community that involves demolishing an 11,917-square-foot religious building. If approved, the complex will comprise 50 townhomes spread across multiple two-story buildings.

The homes, each of which feature three bedrooms, will measure 1,826 square feet to 1,903 square feet each. The South Florida Business Journal reports that the community (dubbed “Belmont” in some sources), seeks to alleviate South Florida’s housing crisis.

Plans include demolishing this structure.

Communal amenities will include a playground and an open-air courtyard. Unlike many neighborhoods in the area, it will not feature a clubhouse or pool. In total, the project calls for more than 53,000 square feet of new construction and rests on 5.07 acres. Renderings show low-rise homes with private garages and separated by hedges.

DR Horton is both the owner and general contractor. Wantman Group Inc. is the civil engineer, and Specialist Engineering Consultants, Inc. is the structural engineer. Every entity on this venture has offices in Palm Beach County. Records show that Axis Satellite LLC is one of the prospective bidders.

Belmont’s proposed address is 1591 Kirk Road, Palm Springs, Florida, 34406, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Per Google earth, the community is west of I-95 and south of Lake Lytal Park.
