300-Unit Complex To Replace Defunct Shopping Center at 3334 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, Florida

In 2021, demolition started on Courthouse Shadows, a retail center in Naples, Florida. In its place, developers are moving forward with a 300-unit apartment complex, which some sources call “Courthouse Shadows Apartments.” The multi-million-dollar development will comprise 18 buildings. The residential units will be spread across five four-story buildings

Naples Florida Weekly reports that the complex will offer one-bedroom to three-bedroom homes. Some units come with freestanding parking garages. Communal amenities include multiple dog parks, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and kids’ camp. The largest building will also host a covered patio.

The residential complex will offer 300 homes.

In April 2021, Naples Florida Weekly reported that the community would open in September 2022. However, sources note that the project is presently delayed. The community could open in late 2022 or early next year.

Johnson Development Associates, Inc. owns the venture. It purchased the build site for $13.75 million in July 2020. Charlan Brock & Associates, Inc. designed the community. Other involved parties in the venture include JR Evans Engineering (the civil engineer), Migre Engineers, LLC (the MEP engineer), and O’Donnell, Naccarato, Mignogna & Jackson (the structural engineer).

The complex will replace a now-demolished retail center.

Courthouse Shadows Apartments’ address is 3334 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, Florida, 34112, in Collier County. True to the name, the complex is located near the Collier County Clerk of Courts Offices.
