After much anticipation, Cove at West Port has started selling single-family homes. There are seven floor plans to choose from, ranging from 1,661 square feet to 3,313 square feet each. Ownership starts at $375,000. The most expensive homes cost around $470,000.
Homes comprise two- to four-bedroom units, with some measuring two stories above grade. Some measure 50 feet tall, while others measure 60 feet tall. Homes come with updated appliances, built-in smart home technology, and hurricane-grade windows. Some homes also come with three-car garages.
Communal amenities include a clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, and pickleball and bocce ball courts. Conceptual renderings show walking trails around various bodies of water. The community itself is gated, offering an extra layer of security. Sources note that there are over 120 homes to choose from, and the community rests on a 115.34-acre lot.
Construction started in August 2021, with Forestar and DR Horton Inc. operating as the owners and general contractors. Waldrop Engineering is the civil engineer. Cove at West Port will offer homes in phases. It’s located at 1132 Moss Cove Court, Port Charlotte, Florida, 33953, in Charlotte and Lee Counties. The development is north of Centennial Park (which offers six baseball fields) and northwest of Charlotte Recreational Playground.
