A new residential complex, tentatively called “Lake Wire Apartments,” could soon call Melbourne, Florida, home. The venture could replace a former retirement center and instead install 84 luxury apartments. The low-rise building would measure four stories above grade.
Per LAL Today, Lake Wire Apartments may feature a clubhouse and pool, along with lakeside views. Once construction starts, the venture will likely take anywhere from 16 to 20 months to complete. Construction could break ground in the beginning of 2023. Before construction begins, contractors must demolish the now-defunct Lake Wire Retirement Center.
DeAngelis Diamond Construction, Inc. is the negotiating general contractor. The Ledger reports that Lake Wire Apartments LLC purchased the half-acre build site for $800,000. Lake Wire Apartments LLC owns the venture. Charlan Brock & Associates, Inc. designed the project. It’s working with Fensalir Real Estate Investments and Impact Development Management.
Conceptual renderings show a low-rise building with balconies and a neutral-colored facade. The community will be similar to Mirrorton, a similar apartment complex with 300 residential units. It opened in 2021 in downtown Lakeland. Lake Wire Apartments’ address is 315 West Peachtree Street, Lakeland, Florida, 33815, in Polk County. It’s north of Lake Wire and northeast of Lakeland Veterans Memorial Park.
