Port Orange will soon be home to a new housing development. Meet Hawks Mill. The $70 million housing complex will feature 336 luxury apartments. The size and layout plans of these units are not currently available. However, the community is brimming with amenities, including a 1,900-square-foot fitness center and a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse. Other offerings include a children’s playground, dog park, and resort-style saltwater swimming pool.
PR Newswire reports that construction will end in 2023. The community’s goal is to offer class A housing to those living in (or hoping to move to) Volusia County. Sources report that in addition to constructing the new multifamily complex, developers intend on making “associated site improvements.”
The Collier Companies owns the project. Based in Gainesville, the developer currently has 12,000 apartments and has nearly $2 billion in assets. Sources report that the organization presently has eight active ventures totaling $140 million. It’s currently working on Monarch Apartments and Sorrento Apartments, which are located in Fort Myers and Sarasota, respectively.
Forum Architecture & Interior Design, Inc. is the architect. Hawks Mills’ online conceptual renderings suggest a low-rise garden-style community. Just like the Collier Companies, the organization is also based in Florida, and right now has 44 active projects.
At this time, Hawks Mills’ exact address isn’t known. However, as mentioned, it’s located in Port Orange, Florida, in Volusia County.
