Miami Beach, Florida, will soon be home to Vista Breeze, an affordable housing community for seniors. The venture will offer more than 115 units divided between two sites. One site measures 30,600 square feet and the other 22,752 square feet. Each site will feature one four-story building with an interior courtyard.
Per the South Florida Business Journal, the larger phase will offer 70 apartments and 31 parking spots, comprising close to 40,000 square feet of new construction. The other phase will offer 49 units and 23 parking spots, comprising more than 28,000 square feet of new construction. Residents can take advantage of the nearby golf course.
Rent start at around $480 a month.
Rent will range from $478 to $1,366 a month. The project itself will cost $20 million to complete, with construction anticipated to start soon. Atlantic Pacific Communities and the Housing Authority of the city of Miami are spearheading the project. Brooks + Scarpa is the architect.
According to the organization’s website, the community’s design will reflect the Miami Modern (MiMo) architectural style, which is “where the use of pastel colors, breeze block, and smooth and rough textures are juxtaposed.”
Construction could start either this year or next year.
Vista Breeze has multiple addresses: the larger site’s address is 280 and 300 South Shore Drive, and the smaller site’s address is 165-185 South Shore Drive. Both are located in Miami, Florida, 33141, in Miami-Dade County.
