Affordable Housing Complex Slated for 1250 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, Florida, 33755

Clearwater, one of Florida’s most coveted places to live, will soon be home to a new affordable housing development. The venture’s located on a 2.35-acre build site. The community will comprise a four-story building with 81 apartments.

Per the Tampa Bay Business Journal, layout plans range from one-bedroom to two-bedrooms, averaging about 772 square feet each. There are 30 one-bedroom homes and 51 two-bedroom units. Communal amenities include co-working stations, a fitness center, a community garden, a children’s play area, and a two-story parking garage with one space per unit.

The community is aimed at those making between 30 percent to 80 percent of the area’s median income (AMI). Per Data USA, Clearwater, Florida, has an AMI of about $50,000. Sources report that the community’s presently in its design development phase, with Hennessy Construction Services (the general contractor) planning to start work next summer.

City of Clearwater is the owner. FK Architecture (formerly known as Fugleberg Koch Architects) designed the venture, and Archway Partners is the developer. Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc/VHB is the civil engineer.

The community’s address is listed as 1250 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, Florida, 33755, in Pinellas County. Google Earth’s renderings suggest that the build site is undergoing some redevelopment.
