Kayla at Library Place is a new affordable housing complex slated for North Miami, Florida. According to citybiz, the complex will feature 138 apartments, ranging from 660 square feet to 930 square feet. Layout plans include one-bedroom to two-bedroom homes.
The apartments will be housed in a 10-story building resting on a 1.11-acre build site. Communal amenities comprise a fitness center, clubhouse, business center, and roof deck. There will also be 250 parking spots. The South Florida Business Journal notes that homes will be available to those making 60 percent to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI).
As of August 2022, North Miami had an AMI of $43,562. In addition to the residences, the tower’s ground floor will host the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce, requiring close to 8,000 square feet of new construction.
Sources report that Kayla at Library Place could cost more than $52 million to build. Construction could start in Spring 2023. At the time of publication, the venture was in its design phase. Behar Font & Partners designed the community.
Conceptual renderings show a mid-rise tower with balconies and hurricane-grade windows. Coral Rock Development is the developer. Kayla at Library Place’s address is 13100 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, Florida, 33161, in Miami-Dade County.
