Sources note that developers hope to start construction on a new project later this year. The venture? Foxcraft Estates. The residential building would measure five stories above grade and offer 84 homes, ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom apartments.
In October 2022, the South Florida Business Journal noted that some of those residences would be designated as affordable housing. There’s a huge need for affordable housing developments in South Florida right now, with a shortage of nearly 3,400 affordable housing units in 2020.
Communal amenities would comprise a fitness center, clubhouse, and parking garage. Foxcraft Estates would sit on a 2.13-acre site. The parcel is presently undeveloped. LoopNet notes that in July 2022, the property had zoning that allowed for a 55-unit rental property. It’s unclear whether developers will need to have the area rezoned.
Foxcraft Estates could cost $32 million to complete. Pinnacle Housing Group LLC–Miami is the developer. It applied for a $640,000 loan to match an award it received from the Florida Housing Finance Corp.
Behar Font & Partners is the architect. Conceptual renderings show a mid-rise building with balconies and views of the surrounding area. Foxcraft Estate’s address is 3300 Foxcroft Road, Miramar, Florida, 33025, in Broward County.
The complex would rest north of the Ronald Reagan Turnpike and east of I-75.
