After being in business for over 50 years, the Cabana Club is getting an expansion: a 10-story residential tower with 248 units. It’s called “Cutler Bay North Cabana.” Homes range from one-bedroom to two-bedroom layout plans. Communal amenities include a swimming pool and two-story clubhouse.
The South Florida Business Journal notes that, in addition to the residences, plans call for a five-story parking garage with 330 spots, along with 2,500 square feet of ground floor retail.
The venture will serve as a second expansion of the Cabana Club.
At the time of publication, it was unclear whether the venture (aimed at seniors) would offer affordable housing options. Yet, the nearby Cabana Club has rent ranging from $954 to $1,212 a month. Cutler Bay North Cabana may offer similar rates.
Lincoln Bap LLC filed the pre-application last week. Bellon Architecture designed the community. Sources note that the South Florida-based firm currently has 16 active projects, totaling an estimated $969 million. Cutler Bay North Cabanas apartments will rest on a build site measuring 2.71 acres. It currently hosts a parking lot.
Cutler Bay North Cabana’s address is on an unspecified location just north of 19701 Southwest 110th Court, Cutler Bay, Florida, 33157, in Miami-Dade County. The development is west of Cutler Ridge Park.
