Lake Wire Apartments Approved for 401 Peachtree Street, Lakeland, Florida

A project tentatively known as “Lake Wire Apartments,” was proposed in Polk County, FL.  The $12.1 million venture will rest on .82 acres and comprise 32 apartments in a four-story building. The Ledger notes that apartments will range from one-bedroom to two-bedroom homes. There will be 21 one-bedroom homes and 12 two-bedroom homes.

Construction could start in January 2024. At the time of publication, sources noted that Lake Wire Apartments was in its design phase and had secured approval from the Lakeland City Commission. Plans call for 100 parking spots, along with various other amenities.

It’s unclear whether the development will replace or integrate this historic house into its design.

RiverTree Advisors is the venture’s owner. The Lunz Group––Lakeland is the architect, and Gadd Case & Associates LLC is the civil engineer. All of these entities are either based in Lakeland or Central Florida.

Prior to breaking ground, developers face a perplexing dilemma. A house erected in 1925 has sat untouched on the property for nearly 10 years. Most recently, the house operated as a restaurant from 2006 to 2011. It’s unclear whether developers will demolish the historic structure or integrate it into the new venture’s design.

Lake Wires Apartments’ address is 401 Peachtree Street, Lakeland, Florida, 33815, in Polk County. It’s on the banks of Lake Wire and northwest of Lake Mirror.
