The Strada Shopping Plaza Slated for Expansion at 1019 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Florida

In October 2022, MMG Equity Partners and Mouhalis Capital sought approval for an expansion of Strada shopping center, a mixed-use complex in Coconut Creek, Florida. Now, nearly six months later, they’ve secured approval from city officials.

As it stands, the Strada shopping plaza has a Regions bank and 30,000-square-foot medical facility. With the expansion, the development will have a Sprouts Farmers Market, Sentry Self-Storage, Cali Coffee drive-thru, and Conviva Care Center. This will be the fifth Sprouts grocery store in Broward County.

The expansion will include a medical center.

The South Florida Business Journal reports that the expansion will comprise more than 150,000 square feet of new construction on a seven-acre lot. Construction is expected to start in October 2023 and finish in late 2024. The Real Deal reports that the expansion will cost $23 million to finish.

There are two architects involved in Strada shopping center’s expansion. Kaller Architecture designed the retail and medical buildings, while Kenneth R. Carlson designed the self-storage facility.

The expansion could break ground this October.

The Strada shopping center’s address is 1019 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Florida, 33063, in Broward County. The venture is north of the Fern Forest Nature Center and west of Florida’s Turnpike.
