Hialeah-based MG Developer, in partnership with Baron Property Group (BPG), a New York-based development company, unveils their ambitious plans for Hialeah’s Metro Center. This transformative project will encompass approximately 2.3 million square feet of upscale apartments and retail space, revolutionizing urban living in the heart of Hialeah.

Metro Center represents a significant addition to MG Developer’s expanding portfolio in South Florida, as the company works closely with the city of Hialeah to bring its vision of a modern transit-oriented community to life in the emerging urban core.

“We are excited to introduce Metro Center to Hialeah,” says Alirio Torrealba, CEO of MG Developer. “These interconnected developments redefine urban living in the city, offering high-quality housing, seamless transit access, and a vibrant community experience that aligns with Hialeah’s transformation into a forward-thinking Miami inspired by its rich history, culture, and arts. We are dedicated to the beautification of the City of Hialeah.”

The combined developments of Metro Parc, Metro Parc North, and Metro Parc South will add over $600 million in value to the destination. Metro Center will provide nearly 1,600 contemporary apartments within walking distance of the Metrorail and Tri-Rail Transfer Station. MG’s first multifamily building, Metro Parc, a 559-unit, 10-story structure, broke ground in 2022. Metro Parc North, featuring 620 apartments, will be located adjacent to Metro Parc at 983 East 26th Street and is expected to be completed in 2026. Metro Parc South, a 347-unit building, will be the latest addition to MG’s transit-oriented multifamily communities and is slated for completion in 2027 at 954 & 934 E 25th Street.

Upon completion, Metro Center will serve as Hialeah’s modern lifestyle center, boasting over 35,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space ideal for restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, fitness outlets, and a specialty market. Its prime location in the heart of Hialeah is near Hialeah Hospital, Amelia Earhart Park, Factory Town, and just 15 minutes from Miami International Airport. The entire Metro Center complex is expected to be finished in 2027.

“By revitalizing this area into a vibrant residential destination, Metro Center breathes new life into the neighborhood while preserving its character and providing housing options that reflect its authentic identity,” adds Torrealba.

As Hialeah evolves from the “City of Progress” to a “Forward-Thinking” Miami, Metro Center is designed to cater to young professionals seeking a dynamic lifestyle with convenient access to parks, dining, work, arts and culture,, and entertainment venues. Additionally, efficient train commutes offer convenient access to South Florida.

Located nearby is MG’s Metro Station, another transit-oriented multifamily community with a 55-unit building at 2691 East 11th Avenue.

MG Developer’s acquisition of Metro Parc in 2021 marked the launch of their multifamily rental division. The company is committed to meeting the demand for high-quality housing in Hialeah while providing residents with easier and faster commuting options.

Under the leadership of Alirio Torrealba, MG Developer is a residential property development company based in Coral Gables, Florida. With 11 completed developments and nearly $1.5 billion planned developments throughout South Florida, MG has established itself as one of the region’s most active developers.
