“The Seminary Lane project,” a new student housing complex, is nearing the end of construction in Gainesville, FL. The 298-unit development, comprising more than 430,000 square feet of new construction, will rest on a six-acre build site. It will also offer 862 beds.
The units will be spread across four apartment buildings, varying from three to five stories above grade. Upon completion, the complex will offer a host of amenities, including a rooftop swimming pool, fitness center, Jumbotron, and outdoor recreational space.
Offerings also include two parking garages. FaverGray, the general contractor, broke ground on the multi-million-dollar project in December 2023. The Jacksonville Daily Record reported that this was the firm’s biggest project in 2021. The first phase could deliver by the end of this year.
The Seminary Lane project is the first venture that FaverGray and Peak Campus Communities have partnered on. Dwell Design Studio is the architect. Its renderings show a mid-rise development that prioritizes the comfort of living in suburbia with the hustle and bustle of a college town.
Our sources note that the Seminary Lane project is in Gainesville’s 5th Avenue/Pleasant Avenue District in Alachua County. It intends to serve students at the University of Florida and other nearby colleges.
