A large affordable housing development is currently under construction in Bradenton, Florida. The Savoy at 301 will offer 248 residences for seniors. Per Rycon Construction Inc., homes comprise one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom layout plans in a four-story wood-framed building.
Homes come with in-unit laundry washers, and select units come with balconies. The Savoy at 301 will require close to 260,000 square feet of new construction. Communal amenities include a two-story clubhouse, fitness center, and arts/crafts room.
The complex will offer residency to seniors over 62.
The general contractor broke ground earlier this year, and completion’s slated for 2024. Our sources indicate that residency is reserved for seniors 62-plus who make no more than 60 percent of the area median income.
With these numbers, rent could range from $900 to $1,100 a month––although this could change, given market conditions. Bessolo Design Group designed the Savoy at 301.
The complex will measure four stories.
Lincoln Avenue Capital is the developer. It’s working on another affordable housing unit in Bradenton: 301 Flats. That community will offer 324 units, and it’s slated for completion in 2025. Both the Savoy at 301 and 301 Flats will bring more than 600 residences to the region.
The pair will be located just feet away from each other. BLDUP lists the address as 4498 12th Street Court East, Bradenton, Florida, 34203 in Manatee County.

Why would you build in Oneco? The most dangerous zip code in manatee county. Why would you build senior right next to family/kids. There’s a reason seniors want to be in senior housing. That’s just stupid!
