This December, Eureka! Restaurant Group, in collaboration with Grupo Carolo Hospitality, is set to introduce The Amalfi Llama at Esplanade at Aventura, a destination for retail, entertainment, and culinary experiences located at 19505 Biscayne Boulevard. The restaurant draws culinary inspiration from various cultures, from Patagonia to the Italian Mediterranean coast. A distinctive feature of the establishment is its live-fire cooking, a technique found in multiple cultures that uses smoke, coals, and embers for meat, seafood, and vegetable preparations.

Upon entering The Amalfi Llama, visitors will be met with modern farmhouse interiors illuminated by natural light. Organic design elements complemented by Peruvian llama tassel art set a unique ambiance. The establishment spans 9,595 square feet, inclusive of a 7,734-square-foot dining room with a capacity for 157 patrons. A live-fire grill and a wood-burning oven are at the heart of the dining area. Two bars within the premises ensure varied seating experiences, from intimate lounge seating to panoramic views. Two patios, totaling 1,861 square feet and with a seating capacity 92, offer an outdoor dining experience. Weatherized drop-down shades ensure comfort across seasons.

Eduardo Gomez, CEO of Eureka! and Grupo Carolo, shared insights on their choice of live-fire cooking. He mentioned its historical significance and ability to create unique culinary flavors, positioning The Amalfi Llama as a distinctive player in South Florida’s food scene.

The menu is a blend of coastal Italian offerings and Latin-inspired dishes. Starters range from Beef Carpaccio to Cedar-Roasted Burrata, with main courses such as Spicy Lobster Spaghetti and various wood-fired pizzas. The menu also features live-fire parrilla-style dishes, including steaks and fire-grilled Branzino.

The drink menu at The Amalfi Llama is diverse, catering to varied preferences. Handcrafted cocktails from classic Negronis to unique creations like the Sunkissed Martini can be found. Non-alcoholic options and specialty sodas round out the offerings.

Complementing the culinary offerings, an extensive wine list curated by The Amalfi Llama’s sommeliers features selections from Argentina, Italy, and the United States.
