In September 2023, construction started on the Mark at Tallahassee, a student housing development in the Sunshine State’s capitol. Multi-Housing News reports that the complex will offer 859 beds spread across three buildings. Most residences include studios to six-bedroom layout plans. There will also be penthouses that come with pool tables, oversized common areas, and built-in technology.
All homes come fully furnished and offer 1:1 bedroom-to-bathroom amenities. They’re set to include gourmet-style kitchens, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops.
Residents at the Mark at Tallahassee will have access to 30,000 square feet of amenities, including a jumbotron, rooftop clubhouse, grilling area, swimming pool, and more. There’s also an on-site fitness center.
The Mark at Tallahassee is a joint project between Landmark Properties and Manulife Investment Management. Landmark Construction, a subsidiary of Landmark Properties, is the general contractor. It hopes to finish construction in August 2025. In total, the venture will cost just a little over two years to complete.
The Mark at Tallahassee isn’t the only student housing complex unfolding under the Landmark Properties and Manulife Investment Management partnership; the pair are also working on the Mark at Tennessee. Just like the Mark at Tallahassee, that venture will offer more than 800 beds and open the same year in August 2025.
Sources suggest that the Mark at Tallahassee will occupy the property at 672 W. St. Augustine Street, Tallahassee, FL, 32304, in Leon County.
