Index Investment Group has proposed a mixed-use venture in Jupiter, Florida. Flagler’s Wharf (not to be confused with Fisherman’s Wharf) would rest on a now-vacant 2.95-acre lot. The developer purchased the parcel for $2.6 million in 2016. The site previously featured a mobile home park.
Flagler Wharf’s main structure would measure five stories above grade and comprise 42,073 square feet of new construction. Per the South Florida Business Journal, the largely commercial venture would offer a medical office, professional office, and retail.
There will also be a separate building featuring a restaurant, along with a three-level parking garage with 207 spots. City records show that plans also call for 13-slip marina and three 1,000-square-foot apartments. West Palm Beach-based Stephen Boruff Architects + Planners designed the venture.
Records describe Flagler’s Wharf as a “wedding-cake” style building with tiers. The Real Deal reports that the design isn’t meant to mirror older properties, but rather, reflect and reinforce the area’s history.
There’s an increasing demand for housing and other mixed-use ventures as more wealthy families move to Jupiter. If all goes according to plan, Flagler’s Wharf would unfold at 401 N. Alternative A1A and 101 Old Jupiter Road in Jupiter, FL, 33477, in Palm Beach County.
