The Avenue Hotel & Residences Breaks Ground At 351 San Lorenzo Avenue In Coral Gables

The Avenue Hotel & Residences Coral Gables, a new 8-story Parisian-inspired neo-classically designed boutique condominium and hotel located across the street from the entrance to Merrick Park, has broken ground, announced Oscar Roger, President and CEO of Roger Development Group, a family-owned real estate development and management company.

The ceremony took place on November 1st at the sales center located at 351 San Lorenzo Avenue. Oscar, Sr. and Oscar Roger, Jr., a dynamic father-son development team, were joined by their partners Zarko Cukic, Jose Espantoso, and Veronica Rey. Members of the project’s design team were also present, including Architect Willy Bermello of Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Interior Designer Adriana Hoyos of Adriana Hoyos Design Studio, and Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, Managing Partner and Principal of Cervera Real Estate. Additionally, principals from Thornton, the general contractor for the project, attended the event.

The event was also attended by Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago and over 75 prominent figures from the city’s civic and business community. Guests enjoyed a selection of macarons, madeleines, mimosas, and other refreshments. During the festivities, the project team celebrated their success with a toast and ceremonially tossed the first pile of sand using branded silver shovels.

The design of the building, as depicted in the rendering, presents a contemporary interpretation of classic style. The façade features a neutral color palette, complemented by the consistent pattern of symmetrical windows, which suggests the interior will be bathed in natural light. Dark mullions frame these windows, adding a modern touch to the structure. A curved corner feature on the building softens its overall profile, offering an appealing contrast to the straight lines that dominate the structure. At ground level, the expansive windows indicate a retail space, while subtle architectural details like the balcony railings and cornice contribute to the building’s refined aesthetic.

The Avenue Hotel & Residences in Coral Gables offers 48 residences featuring well-designed and luxurious one- and two-bedroom layouts. These homes range in size from 598 to 1,200 square feet and are fully furnished. Each unit has contemporary Italian-style kitchens and baths featuring appliances from Miele, Subzero, or Wolf. The amenities include over 3,800 square feet of ground floor retail space, a front desk reception, and a range of hotel services designed to simplify and enhance daily life. Homeowners can enjoy valet parking and newspaper and package delivery services. Additionally, the property boasts a resort-style pool deck on Level 9, equipped with a summer kitchen and a family dining area.

Units are priced from $730,000 to over $1.3M. Construction is anticipated to be completed in early 2025.
