Great Wolf Lodge intends to open its first Florida-based indoor water park in the third quarter of this year. The venture, requiring more than 120,000 square feet of new construction, will offer a 92,000-square-foot water park, along with an additional 62,000 square seat reserved for restaurants, family-friendly attractions, and a convention center.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal notes that the Naples attraction will offer a centerpiece attraction known as “Otter Cave Waterworks,” along with Great Wolf Lodge’s signature 1,000-gallon tipping bucket. Other amenities include a tube-racing slide, wave pool, raft ride, and a hot tub area reserved for visitors 18-plus.
Great Wolf Lodge Naples will host 500 guest suites in varying sizes. In total, the venture will cost $250 million to complete, with $15 million sourced from Collier County. Sources indicate that construction broke ground on the resort in July 2022. It’s already taking reservations, with rooms reportedly starting at $152 a night.
Great Wolf Lodge created buzz in 2016 after purchasing an 80-acre parcel near Walt Disney World Resort. Many speculated that the indoor water park would take shape there, but the project never came to fruition, and the site was instead sold to AIC Hotel Group.
Great Wolf Lodge’s Central Florida resort will be located at 3900 City Gate Boulevard North, Naples, Florida, 34117, in Collier County.
