An 8.5-acre agricultural site could soon find new use as a multi-family housing development in Winter Garden, FL. Seidel Road Apartments would offer 144 apartments, ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans.
Per the Orlando Business Journal, the units would be divided between two four-story buildings. One would offer 76 units, and the other would offer 68. Communal amenities include 266 parking spots (about 1.8 spots per unit)––fourteen more than the minimum required amount.
Offerings also include a swimming pool and what could be a 7,750-square-foot leasing/amenity center. Sources indicate that if the project gets approved, it could cost $36 million to complete, based on today’s construction industry standards.
In October 2021, Mera Developments LLC (an affiliate of MIR Developments) purchased the build site for $2 million (about $235,000 an acre) from then-owner Lake Cypress Nursery. If permitting, zoning, and other considerations go as planned, construction on Seidel Road Apartments could conclude in either 2025 or 2026.
At this time, our sources don’t indicate how much rent would cost. Yet, according to RentCafé, the average rent for a 983-square-foot apartment in the area costs $2,036 a month. Seidel Road Apartments could soon unfold at 9601 Seidel Road, Winter Garden, FL, 34787, in Orange County.
