Miami is poised to further cement its reputation as an international hub for culinary innovation and vibrant nightlife by introducing Villa One Tequila Gardens at Miami Worldcenter, the $6 billion mixed-use behemoth revitalizing the city’s urban core. Co-founded by Nick Jonas and menswear designer John Varvatos, Villa One Tequila promises to bring Mexico’s finest tequila and mezcal offerings to the heart of Downtown Miami, coupled with Baja-style Mexican cuisine, creating an exotic escape for locals and visitors alike.
Scheduled to open its doors in 2025, Villa One Tequila Gardens will span 12,294 square feet of rooftop space within Miami Worldcenter’s ‘Jewel Box‘ retail building at 150 Northeast 8th Street. This location, destined to house a variety of dining and entertainment concepts, will boast panoramic views of the Downtown Miami skyline from its main dining area, which will feature a raw bar and tequila tasting room complete with a tequila sommelier, as well as an intimate speakeasy operated by a soon-to-be-announced nightlife brand.
Miami Worldcenter, one of Florida’s largest privately owned and developed urban real estate projects, is unfolding in phases, blending residential, commercial, and hospitality elements with 300,000 square feet dedicated to retail, restaurants, and entertainment. With over 93% of its retail space leased as of February 2024, the development is spearheaded by Miami Worldcenter Associates, managed by Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, in collaboration with CIM Group.
“Villa One Tequila Gardens will create a unique entertainment destination within Miami Worldcenter with a special rooftop experience unlike anything else in Downtown,” said Nitin Motwani, Managing Partner of Miami Worldcenter Associates. “Fusing Mexican-inspired cocktails and cuisine with modern Miami sophistication, guests will be transported to an exotic destination within Downtown’s dynamic urban core.”
Designed by KOM Studio, a renowned architecture and design firm based in Mexico City, the venue aims to immerse guests in the essence of the Mexican lifestyle, featuring luxurious textiles, agave field-inspired green hues, and neon-sign accented walls.
Villa One Tequila Gardens joins a growing list of tenants and hospitality destinations at Miami Worldcenter, including three new ventures by Michelin-star-rated Chef Michael Beltran of Ariete Hospitality Group and national retail brands and luxury accommodations. The development continues to attract an exceptional lineup of restaurants set to open this year, enhancing Downtown Miami’s culinary and entertainment landscape.
CIM Group, alongside Miami-based The Comras Company, leads retail leasing efforts at Miami Worldcenter, emphasizing the activation of outdoor spaces and rooftops to maximize the enjoyment of Miami’s scenic views and climate. Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and Principal of CIM Group highlights Villa One Tequila as a testament to the development’s commitment to offering diverse dining experiences and enhancing the property’s appeal.
Miami Worldcenter, now home to three completed residential towers and several more under construction, is rapidly becoming a pivotal cultural and transit-oriented development in Florida, integrating public art, green spaces, and connectivity to major transport hubs. This ‘city within a city’ is set to redefine Miami’s urban landscape, offering a comprehensive mix of amenities and services that cater to its residents’ and visitors’ needs and desires.
