234-Unit ‘Trinity Sierra Bay’ Proposed for 11770 SW 214th St, Miami, FL, 33177

A South Florida-based developer hopes to get approval for Trinity Sierra Bay, an age-restricted housing development in Miami’s Goulds neighborhood. The complex would offer 234 apartments split between two buildings, measuring five and seven stories above grade.

Units would span about 600 to 800 square feet, offering one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans. The South Florida Business Journal reports that communal amenities would feature a ground-floor fitness center and clubroom. Burgos Lanza & Associates is the architect.

The seven-story building would be located at this address.

Trinity Housing Partners, through affiliate Trinity Sierra Bay Apartments, has filed the community’s pre-application. In a document submitted to city officials, it said that Trinity Sierra Bay was “more than brick and mortar,” but rather, a unique housing opportunity for Florida’s aging population.

Developers are not seeking approval under the new Live Local Act, as these will likely be at-rate apartment units. Residency is reserved for seniors 62 and older. The Miami-based developer purchased the vacant 5.64-acre build site for $3.48 million in 2021.

The five-story building would be located at this address.

The Real Deal reports that construction could start later this year or early next year, with construction complete by 2026. Trinity Sierra Bay’s seven-story building is planned for 11770 Southwest 214th Street, Miami, FL, 33177, in Miami-Dade County.

The five-story building would be located in the same city and zip code, with its official address listed as 11825 S.W. 216th St.
