‘Valor Preserve at Lake Seminole’ Anticipates Spring 2024 Completion at 9575 Seminole Boulevard, Seminole, Florida

An affordable housing development for veterans is reaching the end of construction in Seminole, Florida. Valor Preserve at Lake Seminole will offer 64 residences, comprising 58 one-bedroom and six two-bedroom units. According to Pinellas County, the homes will be spread amongst one- and two-story buildings. They will be styled after Key Largo bungalows.

Apartments will be reserved for tenants making no more than 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), which, according to county documents, is $34,500 for an individual and $39,420 for a two-person household. Half of the units are set aside for people with disability, with preference for veterans.

The build site was undeveloped prior to construction.

Construction commenced on Valor Preserve at Lake Seminole in April 2023. Prior to groundbreaking, the parcel was an undeveloped forest. The affordable housing complex could soon welcome tenants at 9575 Seminole Boulevard, Seminole, Florida, 33772, in Pinellas County.

Valor Preserve at Lake Seminole isn’t the only affordable housing complex that Pinellas County has in its pipeline. St. Pete Rising reports that it’s also working on Heritage Oaks, an 80-unit housing development for seniors.

It will replace the Rainbow Village public housing development. Like Valor Preserve at Lake Seminole, residency is reserved for those making at or less than 60 percent of the AMI.
