The $30 million second phase of Burlington Post is in the works in Pinellas County. St. Pete Rising reports that Burlington Post II will offer 75 residences aimed at seniors earning at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI).
At the time of publication, the City of St. Petersburg noted that for a one-person household to earn up to 80 percent of the AMI, they would earn up $53,500 annually. The St. Pete Catalyst notes that rent will start at $300 for select individuals, provided they meet various income requirements. Fort Lauderdale-based Green Mills Group notes that the mid-rise venture’s communal amenities include a fitness studio, library, 24-hour laundry facilities, and on-site management services.
Burlington Post II will take shape on a one-acre site that previously served as a parking lot for the first phase. The development’s expected to wrap up construction in the fourth quarter of 2025, seeking to provide much-needed housing to seniors in the region. Funding was made possible by city, state, federal, county, and private sources. Green Mills Group contributed more than $1 million and received various subsidies and tax credits.
Burlington Post II is currently undergoing construction at 3295 Burlington Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL, 33713, in Pinellas County.
