‘Cypress Grove’ to Offer 84 Affordable Housing Units at 555 16th Avenue Southeast, Largo, FL, 33771

The venture measures 23 stories and offers

The Pinellas County Board of Commissioners approved two funding requests for affordable housing developments in St. Petersburg and Largo. Florida YIMBY reported on one of those projects in February. We shared that upon completion, Flats on 4th will yield 80 residential units (more specifically, 52 one-bedroom and 28 two-bedroom units).

The second project is Cypress Grove Apartments, which will offer 84 units. St. Pete Rising reports that 45 units will be reserved for those earning up to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), while the remaining 39 will be for those earning up to 80 percent. That’s $53,500 for a single person and $76,400 for a family of four.

Orlando-based Archway Partners is leading the project. Conceptual renderings show that Cypress Grove Apartments is a garden-style housing development with surface-level parking spots. It will cost more than $35 million to complete.

Cypress Grove Apartments and Flats on 4th aren’t the only affordable housing projects unfolding in Pinellas County. Another project is Vincentian Village, a 73-unit development aimed at unhoused individuals, special needs persons, and high-risk families earning less than 60 percent of the AMI. The units will be in a six-story building and offer various amenities.

Cypress Grove Apartments will be located at 555 16th Avenue Southeast, Largo, FL, 33771, in Pinellas County.
