Related Group and GTIS Partners marked a significant development milestone this past weekend with the foundation pour of the highly anticipated Baccarat Residences Miami. The pour required over 10,000 cubic yards of concrete and 1,500 tons of reinforcing steel, setting a new record for both development firms. This project will be the legendary French crystal brand’s first stand-alone residential tower, managed by hospitality titan SH Hotels & Resorts.
The historic concrete pour, executed by Ceco Concrete Construction, spanned 30 hours, beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday and continuing uninterrupted until 2 a.m. on Sunday. The operation was expertly overseen by the general contractor John Moriarty & Associates of Florida (JMA), with support from Florida Concrete Unlimited, Titan America, Gancedo Lumber, B&J Consulting Engineers, and NV5.
“It’s not every day you see a foundation pour of this scale and magnitude. It was truly a once-or-twice-in-a-lifetime event,” said Nicholas Perez, President of Related’s Condominium Division. “We are incredibly grateful to JMA, our subcontractors, and engineers for their participation in this monumental undertaking, which required a tremendous amount of coordination and planning.”
Located on one of the last waterfront parcels along Brickell Avenue, where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay, the 75-story tower is designed by some of the world’s leading talents. Its architecture is by the international firm Arquitectónica, its interiors are by NYC-based Meyer Davis, and its landscape design is by Swiss architect Enzo Enea.
The sister property to the record-breaking Baccarat Hotel & Residences NYC, the Brickell tower will feature 355 residences, including just eight exclusive penthouses. The property has achieved record sales success and is now 95 percent sold, with select premium residences still available.
Residents will enjoy over 75,000 square feet of luxurious five-star amenities spread across five levels of the tower, including exquisitely appointed social spaces, a state-of-the-art health and fitness center, La Mer spa facilities, a private marina for residents’ yachts, and a curated collection of museum-quality art — all managed by SH Hotels & Resorts.
