A high-rise hotel known as “MB Resort” could take shape near Walt Disney World Resort. Our sources indicate that current plans call for a 19-story tower overlooking Lake Bryan to the east. The tower would measure 200 feet above grade, offering 199 rooms.
The Orlando Business Journal reports that conceptual renderings show rooms in varying sizes and with varying amenities; communal amenities at large would include an arcade, co-working space, fitness center, swimming pool, and various rooftop facilities.
Renderings also show a double-height lobby, along with a ground-floor gift shop, bar, and restaurant. If these plans are approved, MB Resort would occupy a 3.93-acre site. LoopNet shows that the narrow parcel is currently undeveloped. It’s sandwiched between a strip mall and a Shell gas station.
Our sources list the involved parties as Mitch Collins P.E. Inc., AA Central Florida Holdings LLC, and MB Signature Properties. MB Resort isn’t the only hotel Florida YIMBY has recently reported on. Earlier this month, we shared details about a proposed 24-story hotel/condo in Pompano Beach. Designed by Nichols Architects, the venture would offer 77 condos and 303 hotel/condo units, with layout plans spanning two-bedroom to five-bedroom models.
MB Resort would be located at 13651 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL, 32821, in Orange County.
