International firm Meta Development has plans to demolish the five-unit Houses of Brickell Condominium and replace it with a luxury development. The new venture would offer 36 residences with the cost of ownership hovering around $2.5 million each.
The Real Deal reports that the project’s scope calls for two five-story buildings that would be connected by a rooftop pool deck. They would rest atop a parking podium. Homes would span three-bedroom to five-bedroom layout plans, although our sources do not list an exact square footage.
Yet, the South Florida Business Journal shares that residences will come outfitted with high-end finishings, energy-efficient appliances, and integrated smart home technology. It also shares that the development intends to deliver “larger units for wealthy owners or smaller units for short-term rentals.”
Brazil-based OSPA Architecture and Urbanism is the architect. Conceptual renderings show a rectangular-shaped, mid-rise development with palm trees and native ferns. As noted, Meta Development is leading the project. It purchased the build site in two deals. It secured a vacant 17,500-square-foot lot at 1870 Brickell Ave. for $10.25 million, and it has the five condos at Houses of Brickell Condominium under contract from owners for a combined $10.5 million.
The 36-unit development is slated for 1888 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL, 33129, in Miami-Dade County.
