Construction has started on Gardens at Diana Point North, a 24-unit affordable housing development in Tampa. The project’s being led by the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, a non-profit organization focused on offering youth support and workforce and affordable housing opportunities.
Each home at Gardens at Diana Point North will offer three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, spanning over 1,750 square feet. Residency will be available to those earning 80 percent of the area median income, which according to city records, would be $68,800 a year for a three-person household.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the first for-sale homes will be completed by the early third quarter of 2025, with the remaining completed by the end of that year. Our sources don’t list the homes’ price.
Gardens at Diana Point North is a continuation of the larger Gardens at Diana Point, a 24-unit housing development that finished construction in 2019. The Florida Community Loan Fund notes that preference was given to veterans and first responders; the same may apply to the new development. The source also notes that there are currently more than 20,000 families on the Tampa Housing Authority’s waitlist.
Gardens at Diana Point North will be located at 4489 Cambio Gardens Court, Tampa, FL, 33610, in Hillsborough County.
