Construction Starts on ‘Urbania NoMi 125st’ at 1150 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL

In October 2023, Florida YIMBY reported on Urbania NoMi 125st, a mixed-use venture proposed by Continua Developments. Now, the project has broken ground in Miami-Dade County. Upon completion, it’ll offer both residential and commercial space.

Regarding the residential aspect: plans call for 195 apartments in 12-story building measuring 122 feet above grade. The developer’s website notes that there will be 3,450 square feet of enclosed amenity space, including a lounge, fitness center, and media room. There will also be an outdoor swimming pool and deck measuring just over 13,000 square feet.

And then the commercial aspect: 11,480 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, along with 256 parking spots (32 of which are reserved for hybrid/electrid cars). All of this will unfold on a build site spanning 1.3 acres; prior to groundbreaking, the site hosted a small office building. Continua Developments in partnership with Old Capital Partners purchased the site for $7.59 million in 2022.

The South Florida Business Journal reports that the construction of Urbania NoMi 125st will create more than 600 jobs, and it’s scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026. Miami Beach-based G3aec designed the high-rise. It’ll be located at 1150 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL, 33161, in Miami-Dade County.
