In June 2024, Florida YIMBY shared that 9900 West, a residential housing development in Miami-Dade County, had officially broken ground. Now, we have an update regarding this emerging venture.
Developer The Horizon Group has secured a $27 million construction loan to help make the project possible. Upon completion, the seven-story venture will yield 23 homes. The luxury two- and four-bedroom units will span 1,202 to 3,206 square feet, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and stainless-steel appliances. In addition to the 10-slip marina, communal amenities include a fitness center, rooftop pool deck and swimming pool, and fitness center.
The South Florida Business Journal shares that homes start at $1.55 million. Bay Harbor Islands-based Frankel Benayoun Architects designed the mid-rise venture. The architect also designed Nexo Residences, which Florida YIMBY covered in October 2023. The project, also located in Miami-Dade County, will offer studio to four-bedroom townhomes. It’s expected to finish construction in 2026.
Amana Construction Group, the general contractor, hopes to finish construction by 2026. The Horizon Group acquired the 22,500-square-foot parcel for $8 million in 2022. 9900 West gets its namesake from its address: 9900 West Bay Harbor Drive, Bay Harbor Islands, FL, 33154, in Miami-Dade County.
