Related Urban Development Group has proposed a high-rise, mixed-income tower in Coconut Grove. The aptly named Gallery in the Grove would measure 20 stories above grade and comprise 248,265 square feet of new construction. It would be one of the tallest buildings in the area.

Gallery in the Grove would feature 345 apartments; the South Florida Business Journal shares that of those units, 111 would be affordable housing, 62 would be workforce housing, and the remaining 172 would be market-rate apartments. Miami-Dade County’s area median income was $79,400 as of April 2024.

Residences would include studio to two-bedroom floorplans, with square footage ranging from 490 to 1,195 each. Amenities would include a 7,800-square-foot library, 5,500-square-foot wellness center, fitness center, swimming pool, and other on-site offerings.

Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates is the architect. As noted, Related Urban Development Group is leading the project. The developer, Related Group’s affordable housing branch, is also behind Flagler Villas, a 60-unit affordable housing complex for seniors. It would be just 14 minutes from Gallery in the Grove.

At the time of publication, the developer was seeking a 99-year land lease with the county to make the project possible. It would occupy 3170 Mundy St., Miami, FL, 33133, in Miami-Dade County.
