Construction has reached a major milestone at Villa Miami, a 56-story waterfront residential tower underway at 710 Northeast 29th Street in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Designed by ODP Architecture & Design with DeSimone Consulting Engineers as the structural engineer, and developed by Terra and One Thousand Group in collaboration with Major Food Group, the 650-foot-tall copper-clad skyscraper has officially completed its concrete foundation pour, setting the stage for vertical construction on what will become one of the tallest buildings along the Biscayne Bay shoreline.
The 14-hour foundation operation was executed on May 9 by Moss Construction and included over 3,400 cubic yards of concrete and 2,095 tons of steel. The work was supported by 43 concrete trucks in rotation and carried out with assistance from C&C Concrete Pumping and Supermix. The milestone was reached four weeks ahead of schedule, signaling accelerated momentum for the tower, which is on track for completion in 2027. Capform Inc. is serving as the project’s shell contractor.

Aerial photos captured throughout the pour document the highly coordinated effort from setup to final placement. C&C Concrete boom pumps extended from the northern end of the site, arching over a dense lattice of capped rebar as crews guided the flow of concrete across the mat. A yellow tower crane stands anchored at the southwest corner, flanked by staging areas and material stockpiles along the waterfront. As the pour progressed into the evening, floodlights illuminated the activity while Supermix trucks lined NE 29th Street in steady rotation to supply the mix.

The final images show the slab fully poured and leveled, with formwork and reinforcement cages for the central core already emerging. Workers remained active across the site the following morning, repositioning materials and preparing for the tower’s vertical rise—marking the conclusion of a seamless foundation operation and the beginning of Villa Miami’s ascent above the Edgewater skyline.

Villa Miami will comprise only 70 half- and full-floor residences ranging from 3,000 to over 6,000 square feet. Each home is designed for estate-style living in the sky and will be accompanied by round-the-clock hospitality services and programming curated by Major Food Group. The brand, which is making its residential debut with the project, is also behind The Copper Club, the tower’s private multi-floor amenity suite offering a members-only lifestyle experience.

“The strength of today’s luxury market is defined by discernment as buyers are seeking more than just a home,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “The pace of progress at Villa Miami speaks volumes about the demand for a truly differentiated product and the strength of Miami’s real estate fundamentals. This milestone marks the beginning of a tower that will reshape the Edgewater skyline and redefine luxury living in Miami.”
“This concrete pour marks the moment Villa Miami shifts from vision to vertical reality,” said Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “We’re building a legacy with a team that is pushing the boundaries of design and delivering at the highest standard, from the ground up.”

Interiors are being curated by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., with landscape design by Enzo Enea. Residences are priced from $5.5 million, and the project has already drawn strong buyer interest since launching.

Villa Miami broke ground in December 2024 and is financed through a $285 million construction loan from TYKO Capital, a real estate private equity and credit platform backed by Elliott Investment Management and led by Adi Chugh.

The tower joins a portfolio of iconic and architecturally ambitious projects by its development team. Terra, led by David Martin, recently completed the curvilinear 48-story Five Park Miami Beach and the coastal-inspired 21-story Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove. One Thousand Group is known for the sculptural 62-story One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid and has recently secured a nearby Edgewater parcel for Tower 36, a forthcoming 47-story high-rise designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox.
Villa Miami now advances into the vertical construction phase, where it will begin to rise prominently along the Edgewater waterfront. Once topped out, the tower will serve as a bold architectural statement and a defining landmark within Miami’s continually evolving skyline.

Fabulous location; unattractive building: contrived, awkward, dated.
