Hedrick Brothers Development has officially broken ground on Baldwin East Apartments, a new 363-unit luxury multifamily community rising at 6730 Hanging Moss Road in East Orlando. Spanning 17 acres, the four-story garden-style development will deliver a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences with a full suite of resort-style amenities and eco-conscious features.
The $106 million project significantly adds to Orlando’s east side submarket, offering residents convenient access to Baldwin Park, the lakefront wellness corridor, Orlando International Airport, the University of Central Florida, Downtown Orlando, and a range of retail and dining destinations.

Hedrick Brothers Development is leading the project alongside Hedrick Brothers Construction, the firm’s vertically integrated construction arm with over 45 years of general contracting experience across hundreds of millions of square feet of completed projects.
“Orlando and the broader Florida market represent some of the most exciting development opportunities on our radar,” said Burk Hedrick, President of Hedrick Brothers Development. “Our entrepreneurial approach in acquiring and ultimately developing properties gives us a true advantage over other companies.”

Prior to leading Hedrick Brothers Development, Burk Hedrick oversaw the delivery of approximately 8,000 residential units valued at over $2 billion.
Designed to offer a full outdoor lifestyle experience, Baldwin East Apartments will include a range of landscaped amenities such as expansive green spaces, fire pits, hammock gardens, and a lakefront with decorative fountains. A zero-entry resort-style pool will anchor the community’s clubhouse, which will also house private co-working offices, a fitness center, spa, and spaces for social gathering. Additional features include a pickleball court, dog park, and multiple electric vehicle charging stations.
“Orlando continues to be one of the most dynamic markets in Florida,” said Hedrick. “With this site’s proximity to Baldwin Park and key regional amenities, we see tremendous potential to create a development that adds lasting value to the neighborhood and the city as a whole.”
Construction is now underway, with completion expected in the coming years.
