Florida YIMBY has an update regarding Hillcrest Village, an affordable housing development in Hollywood. Our sources share that the venture is in the latter stages of approval, pending review from city officials. If given the green light, Hillcrest Village would measure eight stories above grade, reaching 87 feet tall at its highest point.

There would be 110 units, all of which would be designated as affordable housing and reserved for tenants earning up to 30, 60, 70, and 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). According to Broward County records, the AMI was $89,100 as of 2024. Homes would span one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans.

Amenities would include a swimming pool, fitness center, and on-site leasing office. Plans also call for 157 parking spots, 24 of which would be reserved for teachers at the nearby charter school during regular hours.

Tobin and the Housing Trust Group are working together to make the project possible. The pair have been working on Hillcrest Village for years, making minor changes during various stages of the approval process. Realization Architects designed the venture.

Hillcrest Village has been proposed for 1101 Hillcrest Dr, Hollywood, FL, 33021, in Broward County.
