Florida YIMBY has an update regarding Bocora Residential Center, a venture that we first covered in August 2022. Previously, plans called for 277 residences in eight stories.

Now, plans have changed to include 21 additional residences, commercial space, and various structural changes (such as a height increase). Boca Raton’s planning and zoning board approved the expansion last week, with the city council having the last say.

Updated plans for Bocora Apartments call for a total of 298 apartments, four of which would be designated as workforce housing. The additional 21 apartments increase Bocora Residential Center’s living space by 25,000 square feet. Residences will span one-bedroom to three-bedroom floorplans, and there will be various on-site amenities.

They include a swimming pool, dog park, and business center, to name a few offerings. Additionally, plans call for a six-story, 636-spot parking garage. The commercial aspect includes a 2,000-square-foot fitness center.

Arcadis is the architect. Updated renderings show that the once-stone veneer will now be stucco, parts of the parking garage ceiling are lower, and the façade will feature metal decorative elements.

Bocora Residential Center could soon unfold at 6419 Congress Ave, Boca Raton, FL, 33487, in Palm Beach County. The project follows a trend of building residential developments on underutilized office space.
