Atlantic Pacific Companies in partnership with the Archdiocese of Miami has plans for an affordable housing development in Leisure City.
The project, called St. Martin de Porres Residences, would comprise 600 apartments spread among five buildings measuring four and five stories. They would comprise 120 units each. The multi-family development would also feature two garages.
According to the Real Deal, the two developers are currently seeking approval for the first 147 units. Miami-based Corwil Architects designed the community. The firm also designed Anatomia, a 30-story mixed-use tower in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood. Miami’s Urban Development Review Board approved the project in September; upon completion, it will feature 499 residences: 289 luxury condos and 210 rental apartments.
Corwil Architects is also working with Atlantic Pacific Companies on another project: the Lofts at Carver Theater. Proposed for Miami’s Liberty City, the 11-story venture would offer 71 residences.
St. Martin de Porres Residences would occupy 28520 Southwest 148th Avenue, Homestead, Florida, 33033, in Miami-Dade County. It would be located on a vacant portion of the property owned by the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. The daycare on the site would remain.
