Miami-based Related Group has plans for an apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale.

Manor Cypress Creek is set to measure eight stories above grade and comprise 422 apartments – 62 of which would be designated as workforce housing for tenants earning up to 120 percent of the area median income. According to Broward County records, a four-person household could earn no more than $87,000 a year to qualify.

Apartments would include one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, measuring 717 to 1,432 square feet. Communal amenities would include a fitness center and swimming pool. Residents would also have access to 591 parking spots, made possible by a reduction.

Arcadis is the architect. The Boca Raton-based firm designed the community to have two retention ponds and be centered around the pool area. Manor Cypress Creek would occupy part of an 8.7-acre parcel that also features a 1980s-era office building. The 309,243-square-foot would remain untouched.

As noted, the Related Group is the developer. The firm is also developing The Gallery at Wagner Creek, a 27-story mixed-income tower slated for Miami-Dade County. The venture would feature more than 460 units, 184 of which will be designated as workforce/affordable housing.

Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee reviewed plans for the project on Tuesday. If approved, Manor Cypress Creek would occupy 6700 N. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33309, in Broward County.

  1. Great. But town should always work a deal on public pocket parks on larger developments …. Quality of life adds to the value of a town. We hold the cards
