An affiliate of Coral Springs-based White Oak Development has secured a $66.61 million construction loan to fund its latest venture in Broward County. If brought to fruition, the venture would occupy the last remaining parcel of Plantation Walk, a 27-acre mixed-use endeavor with offices, retail, and residential space.

The eight-story addition would comprise 297 apartments, 16 of which would be live/work units with space for small businesses. A sampling of the interior and exterior amenities includes a fitness center, co-working lounge, and swimming pool and deck. There would also be a digital element, with residents having access to a podcasting studio and golfing simulator.

At the time of publication, not much was known about the details regarding the residences; yet the South Florida Business Journal suggests that the homes would be similar to those at Rise at Plantation Walk, which measure about 690 to 1,510 square feet.

WO-Plantation MF LLC, which is part of White Oak Development, is the developer. The firm acquired the project’s 5.7-acre site for $8.5 million in 2025. The site formerly hosted the Broward Fashion Mall, which closed in December 2006 following extensive damage from Hurricane Wilma.

The eight-story development is slated for 321 N. University Drive, Plantation, Florida, 33324, in Broward County.
