A Maitland-based developer intends to break ground on a mid-rise residential building in Orlando. Emi on 50 will measure nine stories above grade and feature 336 units, ranging from studio to three-bedroom apartments. There will also be specially designed live/work townhome units designed for small business owners and work-from-home employees.

Emi on 50 will sport a “Japandi design,” which is a blend of Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. The architectural design intends to create a “calm, casual, and organic” environment by utilizing straight lines, indoor greenery, and natural lighting. Amenities include a Japanese garden, elevated pickle ball court, and speakeasy-inspired lounge, along with a resort-style swimming pool and fitness center.

Terian Group is the developer. The Orlando Business Journal lists Baker Barrios, McNamara Salvia Structural Engineers, Jordan & Skala Engineers, Forum Architecture & Interior Design, Foster Conant & Associates landscape architects, and KPM Franklin civil engineering group as the architectural team. In total, the venture would span 580,000 square feet of new construction.

Emi on 50 marks Terian Group’s second Central Florida-based endeavor. The firm broke ground on Dream Lofts at Full Sail in March. That venture would measure five stories, feature 180 units, and cater to Full Sail students.

DeAngelis Diamond is constructing Emi on 50; the general contractor intends to have the project completed by 2028. It’s set for 650 N Hampton Ave, Orlando, FL, 32803, in Orange County.
