Construction has topped out on the new Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital at 29999 Boyette Road in Wesley Chapel, Pasco County. The five-story, 239,000-square-foot pediatric hospital is being built for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, with Robins & Morton serving as general contractor and HKS as architect. The milestone was commemorated on May 8 with a topping-out ceremony marking the placement of the final steel beam atop the structure.

The new hospital is planned to include 56 beds, a 16-room emergency center, a 12-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, and clinic space designed with capacity for future expansion as the surrounding community continues to grow. Additional medical components will include four imaging rooms, four operating rooms, and various support services integrated throughout the campus.

Plans also call for a full-service pharmacy, sleep laboratory, and a 25,000-square-foot ambulatory outpatient center. Dining areas, meeting spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas will also be incorporated into the development.

According to Robins & Morton, the topping-out ceremony signifies the structural completion of the building through the placement of the final steel beam. The privately held construction firm, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, maintains offices throughout Florida, including Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa. The company specializes in healthcare construction along with hospitality, higher education, entertainment, sports, and government facilities.

“We are grateful for the trust Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has placed in us to deliver this facility for our community,” said Bryan Durkin, Operations Manager at Robins & Morton. “We are excited to work toward the completion of this project, which will have a lasting, positive impact on children and families for many years to come.”

The project is scheduled for completion in 2027.
