Construction is poised to start soon on the University of Tampa’s largest student housing project. The venture is slated to measure 11 stories above grade and span 210,000 square feet of new construction. In total, it’ll host 238 one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, allowing space for up to 833 beds.

Students would have access to a variety of on-site amenities, including but not limited to study rooms, common rooms, and 46 parking spots. There will also be 2,040 square feet of ground-floor dining space. Juneau Construction is the general contractor; the firm intends to have the project completed ahead of the Fall 2028 semester.

The student housing project is being developed by the University of Tampa in partnership with RISE Real Estate. The former purchased the project’s build site for $10.5 million in early 2025. The site was previously slated for a 22-story mixed-use venture that would feature 182 residences and 2,835 square feet of retail. Yet, those plans never came to fruition.

Niles Bolton Associates is the architect. At its highest point, the building will measure 153 feet, or 141 feet at the roofline. FBR Design is the interior designer. The 800-bed student housing development is set for 110 S Boulevard, Tampa, FL, 33606, in Hillsborough County.
