Hillpointe has secured a multi-million-dollar construction loan to fund a workforce housing project in Tampa.

Pointe Grand Interbay at Tampa is set to span close to 800,000 square feet of new construction, comprising 15 three-story buildings. They will host a total of 408 residences, exclusively featuring two-bedroom, two-bathroom models.

All homes will be designated as workforce housing for households earning within 80 to 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). Per the City of Tampa, this means housing would be reserved for “low income” and “moderate income” households; a four-person household could earn within $83,450 to $125,160 annually to qualify.

Hillpointe Construction intends to finish construction by June 2027. Other involved parties include KSH Engineering, Hamilton Engineering, and Dark Moss. Multi-Housing News credits the community with being “the first amended site to be built under Florida’s Live Local Act.”

Pointe Grand Interbay at Tampa is set for 7400 Interbay Blvd., Tampa, Florida, 33616, in Hillsborough County. The community will lie on the outskirts of the MacDill Army Base, directly south of Tampa International Airport.
