What’s being billed as the first manmade lagoon in Manatee County is nearing completion. The four-acre endeavor is part of the larger Seaire development, a mixed-use project Florida YIMBY covered in 2024.
Seaire is slated to comprise 3,000 townhomes, villas, and single-family homes constructed by multiple national homebuilders. They include DR Horton, DRB Homes, Dream Finders Homes, Lennar, Park Square Homes, Pulte Homes, and Perry Homes.
Units span one to two stories, measuring about 1,430 to 5,525 square feet. Of the homebuilders involved, units by DRB Homes are the largest, with select models hosting seven bedrooms. In addition to the on-site resident-only amenities, Seaire will host commercial space.

Metro Development Group is leading plans for Seaire. The firm purchased the project’s build site for $37.8 million in 2022. Site plans show that the developer has zoned off multiple areas designated for future commercial and residential expansion.
Seaire’s lagoon is a key feature of the community, as it will host many of the community’s major amenities. The water body is slated to host nighttime events and a VIP
“Cabana Cove.” It would also come outfitted with a double water slide and floating obstacle course.
Seaire’s main entrance is situated at 9411 Carter Rd, Parrish, FL, 34221, in Manatee County.
