The first phase of a multi-family housing project has topped out in St. Petersburg. Florida YIMBY shared details on this venture last spring.
The Henry at Whitney Village’s debut is planned to measure five stories above grade and feature 325 units. Homes at the wraparound development will span studio to three-bedroom layouts. Completion is slated for March 2027, although pre-leasing will start at the beginning of this year.
Residents will also have access to a variety of amenities, including but not limited to a swimming pool and deck, fire pits, and shuffleboard courts. Other features include a fully outfitted pet spa, sauna, and 600-space parking garage.

Greystar and Griffin Capital have partnered together on the project. The Henry at Whitney Village will occupy 3.37 acres of a larger 12.9-acre site occupied by the Jim & Heather Gills YMCA. Greystar purchased the site for $12 million in January 2025.
St. Pete Rising reports that the second phase of The Henry at Whitney Village will feature a 24,000-square-foot pedestrian-only retail village; there are also plans for a 60-unit apartment building. Blake Investment Partners will lead the second phase.
The Henry at Whitney Village is unfolding at 3200 1st Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33712, in Pinellas County.
