Construction continues on Camino Square, a $69 million mixed-use venture in Boca Raton, Florida. The development will reach completion in two phases. The first phase will offer 350 apartments in two eight-story buildings. The homes will measure 700 square feet to 1,500 square feet each.
Construction Review Online reports that homes vary from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans. Communal amenities include a swimming pool, dog park, and 769 parking spots. Developers anticipate that college students at the nearby Florida Atlantic University (FAU) will reside at the complex.
The second phase will deliver retail ventures, requiring close to 40,000 square feet of new construction. Camino Square will measure more than 700,000 square feet, sources say. The 9.13-acre build site was once home to a Winn-Dixie grocery store.
The project has two owners: KIMCO Realty Corporation Headquarters and FCI Residential Corporation. MSA Architects designed the venture. Architectural Alliance is the landscape architect, and Thomas Engineering Group, LLC is the civil engineer. Atlantic Crystals Construction is the general contractor.
Construction started on the venture in Fall 2021. It could take anywhere from a year to 18 months to complete. Camino Square’s address is listed as 171 West Camino Real, Boca Raton, Florida, 33432, in Palm Beach County.
